Northwest Wine Radio

Wine Should be Fun! Northwest Wine Radio is a weekly, hour-long show broadcast on radio stations across the Pacific Northwest. Not your typical wine show, Northwest Wine Radio features interviews with the winemakers, brewers, distillers, and cider makers to get the fun stories behind the bottle. No technical talking here; we're sharing real stories about the real people in the industry. Grab a glass of your favorite and tune in for fun stories, food pairing suggestions, news about upcoming events...all without the attitude! Host Brian Calvert and his team present a different kind of wine show: Light, fun, informal, yet informative and relevant to anyone who drinks local and supports local producers. Again, this show celebrates an entire industry of producers who make fantastic products right here in our own backyard. More information: NorthwestWineRadio.com

Speaking of Proof, we'll tell you about the event bearing that name the celebrates Washington's craft distilleries.  Then Darryl Joannides of Viola Wine Cellars shares the interesting story behind his wine's name, and his way of wine making.

She works her way from the lab to the position of "winemaker" in just a few years.  We have a really enlightening conversation with winemaker Emily Hanes, and she's handed the keys to Butch's place, as in Butch Milbrandt Vineyards of Prosser.

Making money on wine takes plenty of time, so a couple of entrepreneurs outside of Salem, Oregon pool their resources to create a wine experience.  We meet the family behind Zenith Vineyards.

On this week's show, the crew from Woodinville's Alexandria Nicole Cellars stops by to share their story, their castle, and the unique stories overheard in the tasting room.

Our friend Eric Radovich from the Washington Beer Commission also pays a visit to remind us that we better not have plans for Fathers Day yet.  He has a personal invitation to this year's Washington Brewers Festival.

And Dallas, Oregon's favorite Frenchman drops by to share the story of Van Duzer Vineyards.
