Northwest Wine Radio

Wine Should be Fun! Northwest Wine Radio is a weekly, hour-long show broadcast on radio stations across the Pacific Northwest. Not your typical wine show, Northwest Wine Radio features interviews with the winemakers, brewers, distillers, and cider makers to get the fun stories behind the bottle. No technical talking here; we're sharing real stories about the real people in the industry. Grab a glass of your favorite and tune in for fun stories, food pairing suggestions, news about upcoming events...all without the attitude! Host Brian Calvert and his team present a different kind of wine show: Light, fun, informal, yet informative and relevant to anyone who drinks local and supports local producers. Again, this show celebrates an entire industry of producers who make fantastic products right here in our own backyard. More information: NorthwestWineRadio.com

What do you do when two award-winning vineyards are basically next door to each other?  You collaborate and make an ever better wine!

We sit down with the winemakers at Oregon's Hyland Estate and Solena Estate, and then we take you to the Yakima Wine Valley and talk about how wine grapes and hops co-exist peacefully. Speaking of hops, we'll also meet the brewer at Cloudburst Brewing, where the weather makes its way into some fun beer names.

As we make stops in three states, we're headed first to Idaho Wine Country this week to get an update on this years harvest.  Moya Dolsby of the Idaho Wine Commission also introduces some of the newer winemakers in the gem state.

Next, we're off to Oregon wine country and a visit from Darin Ingram of King's Raven Winery in Oregon City.  And we also get the story behind how 192 Brewing of Kenmore got it's name, courtesy of Derek Wycoff and David Schwenn

All this, plus Master of Wine Bob Betz stops by to answer our wine questions, Justin Stiefel mixes-up our "Drink of the Week." and Chef DJ MacIntyre has a fun wine and food pairing!
