We also visit with a man who has a French name, but is all West Coast!  The couple behind Auclair Winery join us to talk about how his passion for wine making at home turned the corner into a full-fledged operation.  And finally, we're going to school for some spirits!  A first-ever event at Bothell, Washington's historic Anderson School will first some really great local spirits.  Don't worry, in this case, you won't get sent to the principal's office for drinking!

(2017) Wine made in the Pacific Northwest has actually been inspired by many other parts of the globe.  Case in point, young winemaker Andrew Januik of Andrew Januik Wines just got back from another harvest in South America, and he shares with us how that experience will be evident in future bottles of his wine.

We also talk about the trouble some California winemakers had this past harvest because it got so hot down south over the summer.  Plus, we meet the guys at Summit To Sound Brewing out of Snohomish.  It's another amazing story of how being in the right place, at the right time, can yield some really good beer!

Speaking of brewing, we take a trip to Newport, Oregon to visit the Rogue Ales & Spirits World Headquarters to talk with brewing legend John Maier.  We also get to meet winemaker Jason Gorski of Delille Cellars, and find out more about taking the reigns of one of Washington's original wineries.

(2017)  The next time you think you don't have much free time, consider Neil Glancy.  The winemaker makes really good vino for Crossings Winery, and has now launched his own label called C Sebastian.  And when he's not working on these wines, he's helping others make good wine.  Sound like a good guy to know, right?

With a name like Mollusk Brewing, you can imagine there's an interesting story behind this Seattle brewery.  And there is!  Wit til you hear the names of some of their brews.

(2017) We spend some time this week re-discovering the delicious wine made in Idaho, and end-up stumbling upon Huston Vineyards.  They're the fun people who live on Chicken Dinner Road.  No joke...they even have the label to prove it!

And if you thought they spelled Houston a little different, wait until meet our Chelan wine makers.  They go really "old school" with the spelling of Tsillan Cellars (yes, it's pronounced "Chelan"). 

Fortunately, our guest brewer throws no spelling curve balls.  They just make really good beer at Bale Breaker Brewery.

We kick-off our 4th season of the show with a new name, and an unforgettable trip!  We now call our show "Northwest Wine Radio," and our first stop in season 4 is Eagle, Idaho, where we connect with 3 Horse Ranch Vineyards.

Then, it's off to Dundee, where we meet Page Knudsen Cowles of Knudsen Vineyards.  Her parents began farming the land, now she and her family will continue this unique legacy.

Portland is our next stop, where we catch-up with Andy Garrison at Stone Barn Brandyworks, where the products are as unique as the name.

Making money on wine takes plenty of time, so a couple of entrepreneurs outside of Salem, Oregon pool their resources to create a wine experience.  We meet the family behind Zenith Vineyards.
