Northwest Wine Radio

Wine Should be Fun! Northwest Wine Radio is a weekly, hour-long show broadcast on radio stations across the Pacific Northwest. Not your typical wine show, Northwest Wine Radio features interviews with the winemakers, brewers, distillers, and cider makers to get the fun stories behind the bottle. No technical talking here; we're sharing real stories about the real people in the industry. Grab a glass of your favorite and tune in for fun stories, food pairing suggestions, news about upcoming events...all without the attitude! Host Brian Calvert and his team present a different kind of wine show: Light, fun, informal, yet informative and relevant to anyone who drinks local and supports local producers. Again, this show celebrates an entire industry of producers who make fantastic products right here in our own backyard. More information: NorthwestWineRadio.com

(2017) From church to craft beer...to a really cool award!  We'll meet the family behind 5 Rights Brewing Company, just named Washington's small brewery of the year.  R.J. Whitlow and family stop by to spread the good news.

What does it mean to be "estate grown?" And what makes Red Mountain so special?  You'll learn that and a lot more when we visit with Mike Amato of Ambassador Wines.

All this, plus Master of Wine Bob Betz of Betz Family Winery stops by to answer our wine questions, Justin Stiefel of Heritage Distilling Company mixes-up our "Drink of the Week." and Chef Kathy Casey joins us with a fun food pairing featuring wine, craft beer, and spirits!

In our quest to try new, locally made wine, it's always a bonus to find out the wine you're drinking benefits some really hard-working people.  As Ashley Trout tells us, proceeds from Vital Wines go to help fund healthcare for everyone from those who pick the grapes, to those who work in tasting rooms around the region.

Another graduate of South Seattle College's wine program makes a BIG splash in wine!  We'll meet Jason Morin of Ancestry Cellars.

We kick-off our 4th season of the show with a new name, and an unforgettable trip!  We now call our show "Northwest Wine Radio," and our first stop in season 4 is Eagle, Idaho, where we connect with 3 Horse Ranch Vineyards.

Then, it's off to Dundee, where we meet Page Knudsen Cowles of Knudsen Vineyards.  Her parents began farming the land, now she and her family will continue this unique legacy.

Portland is our next stop, where we catch-up with Andy Garrison at Stone Barn Brandyworks, where the products are as unique as the name.
